The previous chapter explained in detail how to use CUP to manage product development. This section will discuss how effective methods employed in CUP help in other areas of management, such as project tracking and reporting, that will significantly enhance the visibility of the overall progress.
Task Log
The Task Log gives you a summary of all the tasks in the project. It provides all information pertaining to the tasks i.e. the task id, to which development cycle it belongs, development cycle details, deadline, task resolved date, task closed date, the estimated completion time and the actual time spent on the task.
Task Tracking
The Task Tracking screen provides a summary of the time taken to complete a task. It also provides an update of the time when the task is In-work and gives the number of hours remaining.
Trending

Resource Allocation
Estimated Hours - The Estimated Hours figure is the sum of the estimated hours for all tasks in a development cycle. This will provide quick information on whether the development cycle is fully loaded, lightly loaded or overloaded. For instance, for a 6-member team, a typical development cycle should show around 180-200 estimated hours assuming 5-10 hrs per week goes in meetings, discussions etc. that are not accounted for in the Project Tracker.
Resource Trend

CUP cycles
The CUP cycles report provides details including the date range of a given CUP cycle, the tasks taken up in the cycle and the tasks completed during the cycle.
