COREOBJECTS OPENS SILICON VALLEY OFFICE AND FORTIFIES ITS OPERATIONS IN INDIA WITH NEW MANAGEMENT
Adds leadership and infrastructure in preparation for exponential growth
Los Angeles, CA, May 4, 2004 – CoreObjects Software, Inc, leading provider of Distributed Cooperative Software Development™ services for commercial software vendors, today announced the addition of two new senior members of their management team. Satish Ramakrishnan, brought in as CTO, brings a history of successful product development leadership and technology innovation. Satish’s hiring also signifies the opening of CoreObjects’ San Jose office. Vishal Purohit, SVP of Operations and Strategy, comes directly from a services organization which he helped grow from $3M to $35M, and he will be tasked with building the infrastructure and processes in Bangalore, India, to support a similar growth trajectory at CoreObjects over the next three years.
“CoreObjects has grown organically over the past seven years as a sophisticated product development engine, helping to build Southern California’s software industry,” said CoreObjects CEO, Girish Venkat. “We have been successful to the point where we now have more demand for our services than our current infrastructure will be able to support going out 6 to 12 months. Vishal and Satish will help take CoreObjects to the next level in terms of scale and maturity.”
CoreObjects is the only offshore software development company which focuses exclusively on developing commercially deployable software products. Platform agnostic, with deep expertise in both J2EE and .Net architectures, CoreObjects works directly with leading software companies which are looking to accelerate product development and expand their breadth and depth of expertise, while reducing R&D expenditures.
Satish Ramakrishnan brings a history of successful product development leadership and technology innovation. As VP of Engineering for early stage companies such as KnowNow and PointCast, Satish has brought a deep sophistication about product development processes and innovation. As the head of engineering for BEA's Weblogic Integration product, Satish has developed valuable experience building very large product teams -- he hired and managed over 140 people for WLI -- and shipping complex products on time and under budget.
“This was the challenge I was looking for,” said Satish. “When Girish conveyed his vision to me of building the first world-class software development engine developing core intellectual property for the software industry, I knew this was a special opportunity.”
Vishal Purohit brings particularly relevant experience, having spent the previous three years overseeing dramatic exponential growth for a software development services company. He also brings deep technology expertise, having held the title of chief product architect for one of the largest banks in the U.K. In addition to providing the infrastructure and processes to support CoreObjects planned growth for 2004-2005, Vishal will leverage his vertical expertise in financial services to help launch CoreObjects' new line of service in this area in 2005.
“CoreObjects has a tremendous track record to build on,” said Vishal. “My job is to ensure that the operational infrastructure stays one step ahead of the business growth as CoreObjects continues its rapid expansion in the coming years.”
